Carol Yoder, M.S.Marriage and Family Therapist LMFT M.S. 51230Since August, 2005 Carol A. Yoder, M.S. has been a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Link Care Counseling Center. This Hoosier born native is currently enjoying her third career. Previously she taught Physical Education and coached basketball (yes, a true Hoosier) at the college and high school levels for seven years. Then for 19 years, Carol’s primary focus was tending to the daily matters of her family. Carol and her husband Gary enjoy their four children, Megan, Katelyn, Brian, and Angela who were born between the years of 1983 to 1992. Carol earned a B.S. in Physical Education and Coaching from Ball State University in 1978, a M.S. in Physical Education with emphasis in Psychology of Coaching from Arizona State University in 1981, and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fresno in 2006. Carol is a CAMFT Member, Certified Level I Emotional Focused Couple Therapist (EFCT), and Certified Level III Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist. Reading, walking/jogging, traveling, and reviewing DVD’s for the Link Care Resource Library are some of Carol’s hobbies. In her free time, Carol is usually found enjoying her family. In 2008, this pleasure included traveling with her daughter Katelyn who lead a short-term medical missions team to Romania. Carol and her husband have facilitated couple’s class series at the church they attend, Trinity Presbyterian Church. Past class presentations include a courses developed by Carol on Secure Attachments and Communication in Marriage. Carol is an instructor at the University of Phoenix, where she presents the latest materials on subjects in Behavioral Science and Psychology. Carol is involved on various boards that serve the disabled population. She became personally acquainted with these boards when her son, Brian, was born with Down Syndrome. Carol’s is a compassionate advocate for those that need a voice to represent their needs.
